Helena Dackovic (On Maternity Leave)
Helena is a physiotherapist who started the path to her career in her hometown of Waterloo. She completed her Bachelor of Health Sciences in 2015 at Wilfrid Laurier University, and then went on to Hamilton to further her studies with an MSc in Physiotherapy at McMaster University. Some of her placements and volunteering allowed her to travel and work outside of Ontario, including Vancouver, B.C and Belgrade, Serbia.
After graduating and becoming a Registered Physiotherapist, she began working as an Orthopedic Therapist where she treated patients suffering from a wide range of acute and chronic conditions. While she enjoyed every minute of it, she knew that she had a keen interest in women’s health and decided to complete courses specific to Pelvic Health Physiotherapy. Now she enjoys working with patients who are looking for help in areas of physiotherapy related to a person’s pelvic floor.
Often patients who come to her are unsure of pelvic physiotherapy and what it entails, but Helena loves to walk a patient through the entire pelvic program and explain just how it can benefit each individual. She adjusts her treatment sessions so each is specific to the individual’s own pace toward the road to recovery. After the first assessment with Helena, you will feel much better about Pelvic Health Physiotherapy and how it can help!

”I chose a career in Naturopathic Medicine because I knew that I wanted to find a way to truly help people find optimal wellness, and be in control of their own health. It was my own struggles with weight, anxiety, and PCOS as a teenager that led me to naturopathic medicine. I needed a plan to manage my health concerns that didn’t rely on band-aid solutions to treat symptoms, but rather a strategy and plan that examined the root cause of my concerns. With the help of naturopathic medicine I was able harness my hormones, and develop my own path to wellness. While I live my own health journey everyday, I have taken the drivers seat. I have mapped out a much smoother, and much more empowered ride, where I am embodying the balanced life that I yearned for as a teenager. It is my goal to help you find your drivers seat, take control of your health, and reach your vision of optimal wellness. I am committed to spending time with you, listening attentively to your concerns, and developing targeted individualized treatment plans to address them.”- Dr. Kate, ND
Dr. Kate has a special focus on hormonal health, PCOS, women’s health, fertility, stress management, weight management, anxiety, athletic performance, and digestive concerns. As a personal trainer, yoga teacher, and former varsity athlete she values the importance of movement in supporting the mind-body connection, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. She often incorporates mindfulness-based practices, and personalized exercise plans into treatment plans, to effectively treat the whole individual. Her treatment philosophy is rooted in uncovering the root cause of concerns through a detailed health history intake and comprehensive lab testing. Treatment is focused on promoting the body’s natural ability to heal through optimal nutrition, botanical medicine, acupuncture, lifestyle medicine, and traditional naturopathic modalities tailored to individual needs.

Alex Paluka D.O.M.P., BSc. Kin
Alex has firsthand experience with what it’s like to live with chronic pain. While working as a professor for a Toronto culinary school, he herniated 2 spinal discs and was unable to walk for several months. The recovery process was painful and took over a year for an entire team of health practitioners to help him back to a pain-free state. The journey inspired him to learn the most effective ways to help treat others suffering with chronic pain, while reducing common painful setbacks.
Alex graduated from the University of Waterloo with a degree in Kinesiology while working as a personal trainer. He had the opportunity to volunteer in Dr. Stuart McGill’s laboratory, accompanying clinical research for the mechanisms of lower back and hip pain. Shortly after, Alex graduated from the National Academy of Osteopathy (NAO) with the designation of an Osteopathic Manual Practitioner. He’s since taken specialized courses for craniosacral therapy, visceral therapy, myofascial release therapy, and exercise therapy with Postural Restoration Institute.
He’s passionate about helping clients who suffer from minor to severe pain, because he knows how challenging it can be. Whether you’ve had chronic pain for years, you’ve been involved in an accident, or something has come out of blue, let Alex help guide your body back towards a pain-free life.

Vanesa Sale
(she/her)
RMT
Vanesa graduated from Mohawk College in 2016.
She enjoys helping clients manage their aches and pains by identifying and treating the root of it. Every client’s individual needs and preferences for treatment modalities are considered when developing a treatment plan.
Her treatment approach optimizes soft tissue release techniques to help manage symptoms of musculoskeletal disorders, such as muscle strains/sprains, carpal tunnel syndrome, or rotator cuff injuries.
Depending on client comfortability and preference, she may also include other modalities such as: cupping, reiki, trigger point therapy, and Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF) massage.
These techniques aim to encourage range of motion, improve mobility, and manage pain and stress.
She likes to combine cupping, reiki, and PNF massage, as these modalities can have the benefit of addressing pain from a combination of holistic and clinical approaches.
Currently, she is a full-time student completing the Traditional Chinese Medicine Acupuncture Program at AIM Academy in Toronto. She is projected to finish her studies by June 2025 and is looking forward to bringing acupuncture and more modalities to the treatment room!
In her spare time, you can find Vanesa spending time with family and friends, enjoying books, movies/tv shows, and taking dance classes.
